Printing a Quadro three port corner
A while back I got a couple Quadro toy sets for my daughter. The toy consists of panels, tubes and connectors linked together with 90 degree quarter turn fasteners. Various play structures can be easily built and customized using the available parts. Of course, you quickly find that you can’t build anything you want, but must work within the constraints of what parts you have. There is never enough of some particular connector type.
In my most recent build there was a shortage of the three port corner connectors. Time for a 3d print!
Printed using PETG the resulting part seems very strong. The geometry allowed putting a small flat at the corner to enable printing such that the layer lines go diagonally across all three sides. Regardless, the 3d printed part was placed near the ground where failure would not cause any safety concern.
