A bed for my daughter
Recently I officially started my adventure as a parent with the birth of my daughter. Currently she is sleeping in a portable crib in my room. When she moves into her own room, I would like to have a bed ready for her.
I want the bed to be something well made that she can use for a while. It must be very low to the floor, but would be nice if the design could have legs added later.
Here is what I have so far
Chinese Lattice Designs contians information about lattice designs. I wanted a design that would be as simple as possible and strong. Based on the desired rail height and crib safety standards, the latteice design needed to be based on a grid at least four units tall to avoid openings exceeding the maximum recommendation. This design is listed on page 384 and is described as a design observed in 1875 in a Chengdu teashop.
